Conley, Georgia, is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) straddling Clayton and DeKalb Counties, located just 7.98 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 6,680, though estimates suggest a decline to around 5,836 by 2024. Originally named Moccasin Gap, the area was renamed in 1867 after the Conley family, who owned the land, and has since evolved from a farming community into a hub for manufacturing and logistics.
