Gold CoastGold Coast is a historic district in the Near North Side community of Chicago. It's boundaries are North Avenue to the north, Lake Shore Drive to the east, Clark Street to the west and Oak Street to the south. The neighborhood is a mixture of mansions, row houses and high-rise apartments. As of 2011, Gold Coast ranked as the 7th richest urban neighborhood in America. |

Magnificent MileThe Magnificent Mile is an upscale section of Chicago's Michigan Avenue running from the Chicago River to Oak Street in the Near North Side. It is located adjacent to downtown, one block east of Rush Street. The Magnificent Mile is the main thoroughfare between the Chicago Loop's business district and the Gold Coast. It is currently Chicago's largest shopping district and several of the tallest buildings in the United States are located in the Magnificent Mile including the John Hancock Center and Trump International Hotel and Tower. Landmarks along the Magnificent Mile include the Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower and Chicago Water Tower. |
