Bear’s Paw Country Club sits along the Gordon River in Naples, Florida. Designed by Ron Garl and opened in 1980, the course winds through stands of slash pine and cypress, with several holes routed along tidal marshes. Water hazards appear on eleven holes, including a pair of par-3s that play directly across the river. The fairways are planted with TifEagle bermudagrass, while the greens are built to USGA specifications with TifEagle surfaces that are maintained at tournament speeds. A network of cart paths follows the riverbank and crosses several small wooden bridges, keeping play separate from residential streets. The practice facility includes a double-ended driving range, short-game area, and putting green adjacent to the clubhouse, which was rebuilt in 2014 with locker rooms, a pro shop, and a dining room that overlooks the ninth green.
