Beechwood Country Club sits on gently rolling terrain in Ahoskie, North Carolina, where sandy soils and Carolina pines frame the fairways. The course begins with a long, straight opening hole that leads players toward a green guarded by a single front bunker. Subsequent holes wind through stands of tall loblolly pine, creating natural corridors that require controlled tee shots. Several fairways tilt from left to right, pushing balls toward native rough or pine straw. Water appears on five holes, most notably at the par-three twelfth, where a pond stretches from tee to green. The back nine features slightly more elevation change, with the fifteenth playing downhill to a shallow creek that crosses in front of the putting surface. Greens are maintained at moderate speed and slope, with subtle breaks that reward attentive reading. Cart paths are paved and run primarily along the right side of each hole, keeping traffic off the turf. The clubhouse, a modest brick building, overlooks the eighteenth green and provides a simple turn-around area for players finishing their round.
