Edgewood Golf Course sits on a flat parcel just outside Oconto, Wisconsin, bordered by county highway frontage and low-lying woods. The property’s soils are predominantly sandy loam, with a few pockets of heavier clay near the southern end that retain moisture after heavy rain. Fairways are maintained as Kentucky bluegrass and creeping bentgrass, mowed to uniform height; greens are a Penncross bentgrass blend rolled daily. A single irrigation well supplies the course through a network of buried PVC lines installed in the early 2000s. Drainage follows a shallow east-west swale that empties into a county ditch along the northern property line. Cart paths consist of compacted limestone screenings, widened at several tees to accommodate maintenance vehicles. The clubhouse is a one-story concrete-block structure with asphalt shingles, housing a small pro shop and restrooms. An equipment shed of similar construction stands behind the clubhouse, storing mowers and utility carts. Naturalized rough areas contain fescue and scattered native hardwoods that provide limited visual separation between playing corridors.
