Greensboro Country Club occupies a site on the western edge of Greensboro, North Carolina, that was once part of a working farm. Its main clubhouse, completed in 1966, is a single-story brick and glass building whose flat roof extends over a covered porch that faces the first tee. Inside, a large dining room overlooks the fairway, and a separate grill room is paneled in dark wood and lined with framed scorecards from past club events. A 1960s-era swimming pool and adjacent cabanas sit behind the clubhouse, while a two-story tennis center added in 1998 houses six hard courts and a small pro shop. The golf course itself winds across gently rolling Piedmont terrain, crossing several small streams that feed into Horsepen Creek. Mature hardwoods line most fairways, and a series of bunkers renovated in 2012 uses angular shapes rather than the rounded style typical of the club’s original 1960s design. A short-game area with two practice greens and a covered teaching bay is located near the maintenance facility at the rear of the property.
