Hammond Golf Club sits on gently rolling terrain outside the village of Hammond, Wisconsin. The layout follows the natural contours of the land with a series of tree-lined fairways that alternate between open stretches and tighter passages bordered by mature hardwoods. Several holes feature modest elevation changes that create subtle sidehill lies and downhill approach shots. Water comes into play on three holes, most notably a pond that guards the right side of one green and a small creek that crosses diagonally in front of another. The greens are described as medium-speed bentgrass surfaces that hold approach shots without excessive roll. Bunkers are placed primarily to catch errant drives and long approach shots, with sand of medium coarseness. The course maintains a straightforward routing that returns to the clubhouse after nine holes, with cart paths that remain largely separate from play. Maintenance standards are typical of a municipal or semi-private facility in west-central Wisconsin, with fairways kept at standard height and rough allowed to grow moderately.
