Long Bridge Golf Course occupies a flat, open stretch of land just west of Springfield. The fairways are separated by narrow drainage ditches that come into play on several holes, and a pair of man-made ponds guard the final two greens. Mounding along the edges of the fairways is minimal, leaving most shots exposed to the prevailing southwest wind. The greens are bentgrass and receive routine topdressing, producing moderately quick surfaces with subtle contouring rather than severe slopes. Cart paths are asphalt and run primarily on the left side of each hole, keeping right-side rough largely intact for recovery shots. A single, modest clubhouse sits near the first tee, housing a small pro shop and a covered deck that overlooks the practice putting green. The irrigation system uses effluent water drawn from a nearby treatment facility, resulting in firm conditions during dry spells.
