Palm Hill Country Club occupies a compact 9-hole layout on the eastern edge of Largo, Florida. The course was built in the early 1960s on former citrus groves, and several of the original grapefruit trees still line the cart paths. Fairways are narrow and crowned, directing shots toward flat, slightly elevated greens that are overseeded with rye each winter. A single canal runs diagonally across three holes, forcing carry shots on the second and seventh. Irrigation heads are spaced 20 yards apart, allowing the superintendent to keep the Bermuda fairways firm even during the summer rainy season. The small clubhouse contains a pro shop that stocks only Titleist and Srixon balls, and an adjacent grill serves breakfast sandwiches until 11 a.m. Tee times are taken in 10-minute intervals, and walking is permitted at any hour.
