Rivers Edge Golf Club occupies a distinctive stretch of land along the Shallotte River, where the fairways follow the natural contours of former rice fields and tidal wetlands. The course was designed by Arnold Palmer’s design team and opened in 2000. The practice facility features a double-ended range, two putting greens, and a short-game area. The clubhouse, constructed in the Lowcountry style with wide porches, houses a pro shop and a dining room that serves members and guests. Cart paths are paved and separated from play, allowing walking access between holes.
