Sandy Ridge Country Club in Dunn, North Carolina occupies a site where former tobacco fields have been converted into a golf course with broad, undulating fairways and pine-framed greens. The routing follows the natural drainage of the Cape Fear River basin, placing several tee boxes and greens at differing elevations that create forced carries over seasonal creeks. Bermuda-grass fairways are overseeded with rye in winter, while the bentgrass putting surfaces are maintained at tournament speeds. Irrigation is drawn from on-site wells supplemented by retention ponds that also serve as water hazards on three holes. The practice facility includes a double-ended range with target greens and a short-game area featuring multiple sand bunkers and a chipping green. The clubhouse, built in 1998 and renovated in 2015, houses a pro shop, grill, and locker rooms finished in local cypress. Cart paths are asphalt and run primarily along the right-hand side of each hole to minimize interference with play.
