The Glen Golf Park occupies a compact, gently rolling site on Madison’s near-east side, bordered by residential streets and mature trees. The course was redesigned in 2019 by golf architect Garrett Gill, who introduced subtle elevation changes, repositioned bunkers, and rebuilt all putting surfaces to firm, fast bentgrass. Native fescue and little bluestem frame most fairways, creating distinct playing corridors while reducing maintained turf. Water comes into play on four holes in the form of two small ponds and a meandering drainage swale that runs along the eastern perimeter. The park also contains a lighted, synthetic-turf putting course and a short-game area with target greens of varying sizes. A modest clubhouse with a covered patio sits near the first tee, and the adjacent parking lot is shared with Glenwood Park’s playground and shelter. The facility is owned by the City of Madison and operated under a concession agreement that keeps green fees among the lowest in Dane County.
