The Hills Golf Club is located on the campus of McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois. The course was designed by architect Stan Gentry and opened in 1996. It features bentgrass fairways and greens, with a layout that incorporates the rolling terrain of southern Illinois. The front nine plays through open areas with strategic bunkering, while the back nine moves into wooded sections where mature trees frame several fairways. Water hazards appear on five holes, most notably on the par-4 14th, where a pond guards the left side of the green. The 18th hole requires a tee shot over a creek that winds through the fairway. The clubhouse, built in 2002, includes a pro shop, locker rooms, and a grill that overlooks the 18th green. The course maintains an agronomic program that includes regular aeration and topdressing of the greens throughout the season.
