The Tillery Tradition Country Club occupies a wooded peninsula extending into Lake Tillery near Mount Gilead, North Carolina. The course routing follows the natural contours of the shoreline, with fairways cut through stands of pine and hardwood that provide both definition and shade. Several holes run along the water’s edge, where modest elevation changes and preserved wetlands create natural boundaries. The greens are built to USGA specifications and feature subtle contours that reward precise approach shots. Irrigation and drainage systems are designed to handle heavy summer rainfall typical of the Carolina piedmont. The practice facility includes a full-length driving range with target greens and a separate short-game area with multiple bunkers. The clubhouse, completed in the late 1990s, houses a pro shop, locker rooms, and a dining room with views across the lake. Membership is private, and the course is maintained year-round for daily play.
