Virginia Highland with the nickname VaHi was founded in the early 20th century. Known as a street car suburb as the name was founded from the intersection of Virginia Ave and North Highland Ave. Prominently knowns for its bungalow style and historic homes between 1910 and 1930. They host an annual Summerfest festival and features a blend of different bars and shops. Creative Loafing in 2011 had Virginia Highland voted "best overall neighborhood"
