The trail connects residents to the 134-acre Apple Orchard Park, which features a large playground, four lighted tennis courts, two basketball courts, two baseball fields, and a multi-purpose athletic field. A 1.8-mile paved multi-use path runs through the greenway, accommodating walking, jogging, and cycling. The route passes through restored tallgrass prairie sections and along a small tributary of Poplar Creek, with benches and interpretive signage at regular intervals. The greenway links directly to the Bartlett Park District Community Center at 700 S. Bartlett Road and is within one mile of Metra’s Milwaukee District/West Line station, providing daily train service to downtown Chicago. Street parking is available at multiple access points, and the path is maintained year-round by the Bartlett Park District.
