Ashbury Greenway, Naperville, IL

Ashbury Greenway is a 32-acre public park in Naperville’s southwest sector that centers on a 1.3-mile paved loop trail suitable for walking, jogging, and cycling. The path winds through restored tallgrass prairie and around a one-acre retention pond that supports seasonal waterfowl. Two playgrounds—one for ages 2–5 and another for 5–12—sit adjacent to a lighted baseball diamond and two full-size soccer fields used by Naperville Soccer Association teams. Restrooms, drinking fountains, and a 40-space parking lot are located near the main entrance on 95th Street. The park connects directly to the DuPage River Trail, allowing residents to travel by bike to downtown Naperville or the Centennial Beach complex without crossing major roads. Mature oak and hickory trees provide shade along the eastern edge, and the open western fields offer long views of the surrounding residential subdivisions.
