Auburn Meadows Park occupies 22 acres at the southern edge of Lindenhurst and is maintained by the Lake Villa Township Park District. Its primary features are two lighted ball diamonds used for youth and adult league play, a regulation soccer field, two tennis courts, and a playground with adaptive equipment. A 0.6-mile paved loop path circles the park perimeter and connects to the adjacent 3.5-mile Millennium Trail segment that runs east toward Round Lake. The park also contains a 1-acre fishing pond stocked annually by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, a picnic shelter with restrooms, and 40 parking spaces. Lindenhurst Metra station on the North Central Service line is a 2-mile drive from the park entrance on Sand Lake Road, and several grocery stores and restaurants are located along nearby Route 83.
