Augusta Lake Park, Oswego, IL

Augusta Lake Park spans 55 acres and includes a 22-acre lake stocked for fishing. Two miles of paved paths connect to the Oswegoland Park District’s larger trail network, allowing residents to reach downtown Oswego or connect to the Fox River Trail. Picnic shelters, a playground, and a sand volleyball court are located near the main parking area, while a boat launch provides access for kayaks and small watercraft. A fishing pier extends into deeper water, and the shoreline includes several benches that overlook open water. The park is bordered by neighborhoods on three sides, so most homes are within a ten-minute walk. Oswego’s public library and the Route 34 commercial corridor lie less than two miles away, placing groceries, restaurants, and services within a short drive.
