Balstrode Park covers 35 acres in Bolingbrook and features a 1.2-mile paved loop trail that circles a central detention basin and connects to the Old Plank Road Trail. The trail surface accommodates walking, jogging, and cycling, with benches placed at regular intervals. Two playgrounds equipped with climbing structures and swings sit at the east and west entrances, while a large shelter with picnic tables and grills is available for group use. A multi-purpose athletic field supports soccer and football practice, and a separate fenced dog park provides separate areas for small and large breeds. The park borders DuPage River open space, offering views of native prairie grasses and seasonal wildflowers. Restrooms and drinking fountains operate from April through October.
