Bartlett Lake Prairie Wetland in Oswego covers over 200 acres of preserved open space that includes restored prairie, wetlands, and a 40-acre lake. The site features a 1.8-mile crushed-limestone trail that loops around the water and connects to the Fox River Trail, allowing residents to walk or bike without crossing major roads. Designated fishing areas along the shoreline are stocked annually, and a small boat launch accommodates kayaks and canoes. Two wildlife-viewing blinds sit at opposite ends of the lake, positioned to overlook cattail marshes that attract waterfowl and shorebirds. Picnic tables and a reservable shelter are located near the main parking lot on Mill Road, and restrooms are available year-round. The preserve is less than two miles from downtown Oswego shops and restaurants via Prairie Point Park, and it lies within the Oswegoland Park District, which maintains the grounds and runs seasonal education programs on native plants and wetland ecology.
Bartlett Lake Prairie Wetland currently has 8 single family homes for sale and 1 condo for sale.
