Bent Park, Evanston, IL

Bent Park spans 8.5 acres along the shoreline of Lake Michigan in southeast Evanston. The park features a 1.3-mile paved lakefront path that connects to the regional Green Bay Trail, allowing residents to reach downtown Evanston or Wilmette by foot or bicycle. Two baseball diamonds with dugouts and bleachers, plus two lighted tennis courts, support organized leagues and casual play. A playground with separate climbing structures for different age groups sits next to a spray fountain that operates from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Picnic shelters with grills and electrical outlets are available by reservation through the Evanston Parks and Recreation Department.
