Blackhawk Pond Park, Bolingbrook, IL

Blackhawk Pond Park occupies 36 acres in central Bolingbrook and includes a 5-acre stocked fishing pond, a 1.2-mile paved loop trail, and an adjacent 18-hole disc-golf course. The trail connects directly to the Village’s larger path system, allowing residents to reach the DuPage River and the Promenade shopping district on foot or by bicycle. Two playgrounds, a sand-volleyball court, and three picnic shelters with grills are grouped near the parking lot, while the north end of the pond features an observation deck used for bird-watching. The park is bordered by single-family subdivisions on two sides and by the Bolingbrook Golf Club on the third, providing an open-space buffer without crossing busy arterial roads. Restrooms and drinking fountains remain open year-round, and evening lighting covers the main trail and parking area.
