Blodgett & Elmwood Park sits in west-central Downers Grove, where two square blocks of city parkland back up to the DuPage County Forest Preserve’s 8-mile Maple Grove Trail. The 12-acre park includes a lighted baseball diamond, two tennis courts, a playground with poured-in-place surfacing, and a reservable picnic shelter with restrooms. A half-mile paved loop runs through the park and links directly to the regional trail, giving residents off-street access to downtown Downers Grove, the Belmont Golf Club, and the Metra BNSF station four blocks east. Mature oak and hickory trees line the streets, while the adjacent 40-acre Maple Grove Forest Preserve adds wetlands and a small fishing pond.
