Bridlewoods Park, Hawthorn Woods, IL

Bridlewoods Park spans 70 acres of preserved open space within the village of Hawthorn Woods. The park features a 1.8-mile paved trail that loops through mixed hardwood forest and open prairie, connecting to the regional Cuba Marsh Trail system. A 12-acre fishing lake with an ADA-accessible pier allows catch-and-release angling for largemouth bass and bluegill. Two playgrounds, one designed for ages 2–5 and another for 5–12, sit near a 3,200-square-foot picnic shelter equipped with restrooms and electrical outlets. Four lighted tennis courts and two pickleball courts provide year-round play, while a sledding hill and warming shelter operate during winter months. The park lies less than two miles from the Hawthorn Woods Country Club golf course and within a ten-minute drive of both the Metra North Central Service station in Prairie View and the shopping and dining options along Route 12 in Lake Zurich.
