A 3.7-mile paved trail runs through oak-hickory woodlands and restored prairie, connecting to the regional Des Plaines River Trail and allowing cyclists and runners to travel south to the Illinois-Wisconsin border without crossing major roads. Fishing platforms along the creek and two stocked ponds attract anglers year-round, while the 18-hole disc-golf course and two reservable picnic shelters with grills serve larger groups.
