Canterbury Park, Buffalo Grove, IL

Canterbury Park is a 40-acre park in Buffalo Grove that includes a 1.3-mile paved loop trail used by walkers, joggers, and cyclists. The park contains a playground with climbing structures, swings, and slides, as well as two lighted baseball/softball fields and a multi-purpose athletic field. A fishing pond with a surrounding boardwalk is located near the main parking area, and picnic shelters with grills are available for reservation. The trail connects to the 6-mile Buffalo Grove Bike Path system, which links to the Des Plaines River Trail. Restrooms and drinking fountains are located near the playground and athletic fields. The park is adjacent to Canterbury Park Place Shopping Center and within a half-mile of both Route 22 and the Buffalo Grove Metra station, providing direct access to downtown Chicago.
