Carson Slough Park covers 32 acres of open space in Sugar Grove and provides direct access to the Fox River Trail. The paved, multi-use trail runs through the park and connects to the regional Fox River Trail system, allowing residents to walk, run, or cycle for miles without leaving the area. Two playground structures serve children of different ages, and a large shelter with picnic tables and grills is available for group use. Fishing is permitted along the slough shoreline, and the park includes a dog-friendly area with separate sections for small and large breeds. The grounds feature mowed turf fields suitable for informal sports and a natural area with native grasses and wetland plantings that attract local wildlife. Restrooms and drinking fountains are located near the parking lot, which holds roughly 50 vehicles. The park lies less than a mile from the I-88 interchange and the Sugar Grove Library, placing it within a short drive of schools, grocery stores, and the Sugar Grove Metra station.
