Cedar Valley Park occupies 35 acres at the northwest corner of Townline Road and Cedar Lake Road in Round Lake. The park’s central feature is a 1.8-mile paved loop that accommodates walking, jogging, and cycling, with a 0.6-mile crushed-stone spur connecting to the Des Plaines River Trail for longer regional rides. Two playgrounds with rubberized surfacing, an inclusive swing set, and a splash pad operate seasonally, while four lighted tennis courts and two full-size basketball courts provide year-round outdoor recreation. Picnic shelters equipped with grills and electrical outlets are available by reservation, and an on-site parking lot holds approximately 120 vehicles. Open turf areas host youth soccer and football practices, and a small fishing pond stocked annually by the Lake County Forest Preserve supports catch-and-release angling. Mature oak and hickory stands line the northern and eastern edges, providing shade and seasonal color without obstructing sight lines across the maintained grounds.
