Cherrywood Park, Palatine, IL

Cherrywood Park covers 27 acres in northwest Palatine and includes a 1.1-mile paved loop trail that connects directly to the 10-mile Palatine Trail. The park features two playgrounds, a full-size baseball diamond, two soccer fields, six lighted tennis courts, and an outdoor fitness area with stationary equipment. A fishing pond stocked with bluegill and largemouth bass sits adjacent to a 12-acre restored prairie that supports native grasses and wildflowers. Picnic shelters with grills and restrooms are available year-round, and the park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Cherrywood Park is located one mile west of the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line station and one-half mile north of Rand Road retail corridors, allowing residents to reach downtown Chicago in approximately 50 minutes by train and everyday shopping within a five-minute drive.
