Community Park, Hawthorn Woods, IL

Community Park spans 52 acres in Hawthorn Woods and includes two baseball diamonds, six tennis courts, a basketball court, and a playground with modern equipment. A 1.2-mile paved loop trail circles the park and connects to the village’s larger trail system, providing direct access to Lakeview Drive and the nearby Hawthorn Woods Country Club. Two picnic shelters with restrooms and a fishing pond stocked by the Lake County Forest Preserve are also located on site. The park sits less than one mile from downtown Hawthorn Woods and Route 22, placing grocery stores, restaurants, and the Metra station within a short drive. Mature trees line the perimeter, and open turf fields are available for informal recreation.
