Country Walk Park, Round Lake Beach, IL
Country Walk Park occupies 33 acres in Round Lake Beach and includes two playgrounds, a baseball field, and two lighted tennis courts. A 0.7-mile paved loop trail circles the park and connects to the 5.5-mile Round Lake Trail, which extends to Round Lake and Round Lake Beach Metra stations. The park also contains a fishing pond stocked by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and a picnic shelter with grills and restrooms. Open fields and mature trees border the water, providing shaded seating areas. The park lies within a half-mile of the Round Lake Beach Commons retail center, which includes a grocery store, pharmacy, and restaurants. The park is maintained by the Round Lake Area Park District and remains open daily from sunrise to sunset.
