Crawford Park, Yorkville, IL

Crawford Park occupies 70 acres in Yorkville and is bordered by the Fox River on its eastern edge. The park contains three miles of paved trails that connect to the larger Fox River Trail system, allowing residents to walk, run, or bicycle for miles without leaving the network. A 2-acre pond supports seasonal fishing, and an adjacent playground features age-appropriate equipment and a splash pad. Picnic shelters, restrooms, and a disc-golf course are located near the main parking area. Mature oak and hickory stands provide shade along the riverbank, and the open turf fields accommodate organized sports leagues. The park entrance lies less than two miles from Yorkville’s downtown district, where grocery stores, restaurants, and municipal services are located. Direct access from River Road and nearby Route 47 keeps commute times short for residents who work in the Fox Valley or travel to Chicago via the BNSF Metra line.
