Darien Community Park covers 92 acres and includes three lighted baseball/softball fields, six tennis courts, two basketball courts, and a large playground. A 1.3-mile paved loop trail circles the park, connecting to the 7-mile Downers Grove Bikeway Trail that extends into neighboring towns. Two picnic shelters, a fishing pond, and restrooms are available for public use. The park sits less than a mile from Interstate 55 and the Metra BNSF rail line, with direct access via Plainfield Road. Adjacent to the park is the Darien Sportsplex, which offers an indoor ice rink and fitness center. Mature trees line the perimeter, providing shade along the trail and fields. The park is also within walking distance of several grocery stores and restaurants along 75th Street.
