Dorothy Beach on Island Lake provides direct access to a 119-acre lake that supports year-round recreation. The park includes a 600-foot sandy beach, a 40-slip marina, and a boat launch for motorized and non-motorized craft. A 1.2-mile paved trail loops the shoreline, connecting to the 5.5-mile Fox River Trail system for cycling and walking. Nearby forest preserves offer additional hiking and equestrian trails, while the lake itself is stocked annually with walleye and channel catfish by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
