Dryden Park, Arlington Heights, IL View 5 Photos

Dryden Park occupies 22 acres at the intersection of Dryden Place and Arlington Heights Road, immediately south of downtown Arlington Heights. The park contains a 0.6-mile paved loop trail that connects to the larger Northwest Bikeway, allowing residents to bicycle or walk toward downtown or the Metra station without crossing major streets. A lighted baseball field, two tennis courts, and a playground with rubber surfacing sit within the central lawn area. A small fishing pond stocked with bluegill and channel catfish is bordered by a boardwalk and benches. Mature oak and maple trees provide shade over the picnic shelters, which include electrical outlets and water spigots. Restrooms and drinking fountains remain open year-round. The park is three blocks from the Arlington Heights Memorial Library and the downtown business district, placing grocery stores, restaurants, and the train platform within a ten-minute walk.
