Dufield Pond Conservation Area covers 55 acres in Woodstock and includes a 7-acre lake stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish. Anglers can fish from two ADA-accessible piers or the shoreline. A 1.2-mile crushed-limestone trail loops the water and connects to the adjacent 35-acre Emricson Park, allowing extended walks or runs without leaving the conservation area. Picnic tables and grills sit near the parking lot, while an open-air shelter provides shade for group gatherings. The site is 1.5 miles south of the historic Woodstock Square and 0.7 miles west of U.S. Route 14, giving residents quick access to grocery stores, restaurants, and the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line station for commuting to Chicago. Native prairie plantings and mature oaks frame the water, offering seasonal color and wildlife viewing without leaving city limits.
