Dwyer Park occupies 13 acres along the north shore of the Skokie River in Winnetka, offering residents direct access to both open space and the river corridor. The park features a 1.2-mile paved loop trail that connects to the larger Skokie Lagoons trail system, allowing runners and cyclists to extend their routes into Cook County Forest Preserve land. Two lighted tennis courts, a playground with separate areas for toddlers and older children, and a reservable picnic shelter with restrooms support year-round use. The river edge includes a small fishing pier and a kayak launch, while the interior contains a sledding hill and open turf fields used for informal soccer and lacrosse practice.
