Eagle Ridge Park, Oswego, IL

Eagle Ridge Park covers 46 acres at the north end of Oswego and includes a 1.3-mile paved loop trail used by residents for walking, jogging, and cycling. The park’s terrain slopes gently toward Waubonsie Creek, where wooden overlooks provide views of the water and adjacent wetlands. A 10-acre stocked fishing pond supports catch-and-release angling, and an adjacent playground features modern climbing structures and swings. Two reservable shelters with electrical service and nearby restrooms accommodate family gatherings and small events. The park is bordered by single-family neighborhoods on three sides, so most homes are within a five- to ten-minute walk of an entrance. Oswego’s downtown shops and restaurants lie two miles south via Route 34, and the park sits less than four miles from the Oswego Metra station on the BNSF line, giving commuters direct rail access to Chicago.
