Earlywine Park, Wilmette, IL

Earlywine Park occupies 23 acres in southern Wilmette and provides residents with structured recreational space close to Lake Michigan. The park features two lighted tennis courts, two ball diamonds with dugouts and fencing, and a playground that includes climbing equipment and swings. A paved walking loop encircles the grounds, and a separate crushed-stone path connects to the village’s broader trail system. Mature oak and maple trees line the perimeter, offering shade for picnicking at the shelter building that contains restrooms and electrical outlets. Earlywine is situated one block west of Sheridan Road, giving residents quick access to the Metra Union Pacific North Line station and the commercial corridor along Green Bay Road. During the school year, District 39 buses use the park’s loop drive for student drop-off, illustrating its integration into daily village routines.
