Ebersold Park, Downers Grove, IL

Ebersold Park occupies 21 acres in Downers Grove and includes two lighted baseball diamonds, four tennis courts, a playground, and a picnic shelter with restrooms. A paved loop trail runs through the park’s open fields and connects to the adjacent 2-mile Downers Grove Bikeway, which extends west to Belmont Road and east toward the DuPage River. Mature oak and maple trees line the park’s northern edge, providing shade along the trail and in the picnic areas. The park sits within two blocks of downtown Downers Grove’s Main Street retail corridor and the BNSF Metra station, allowing residents to reach Chicago in approximately 35 minutes by train. The Village’s Public Works building and the Downers Grove Public Library are also within a five-minute walk, offering convenient access to municipal services.
