Fox Trails Park occupies 39 acres in northwest Cary and is bordered by residential streets and the Fox River Trail. The park’s two-mile paved loop accommodates walking, jogging, and cycling, while a network of shorter crushed-granite paths leads through stands of mature oak and hickory. A 3-acre retention pond supports catch-and-release fishing and draws migratory waterfowl. The playground complex includes separate structures for younger and older children, adjacent to a regulation-size soccer field and two lighted tennis courts. Picnic shelters and restrooms are clustered near the parking lot off Three Oaks Road, and drinking fountains are spaced along the main loop. The Fox River Trail entrance allows residents to reach downtown Cary on foot or by bicycle in under ten minutes, connecting the park to Metra service and local retail without using major roadways.
