Freedom Park, Bolingbrook, IL

Freedom Park in Bolingbrook spans 92 acres and features a 1.8-mile paved trail that connects to the DuPage River Trail system. The park includes a 17-acre fishing lake stocked with bass and bluegill, two playgrounds with separate equipment for different age groups, and lighted athletic fields for baseball, soccer, and softball. A skate park with concrete ramps and bowls serves both beginners and advanced riders. Picnic shelters equipped with grills and electrical outlets accommodate groups up to 100 people. The park sits adjacent to the Bolingbrook Golf Club and is located less than two miles from the Promenade Bolingbrook shopping center, which houses retailers including Costco, Dick's Sporting Goods, and multiple restaurants. The terrain includes gently rolling hills with mature oak and maple trees providing shade along the trail and open spaces. Restroom facilities remain open year-round, and the park operates daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
