Gilberto Park, Glendale Heights, IL

Gilberto Park covers 47 acres in Glendale Heights and serves as the village’s largest recreation area. Visitors reach the park via a network of paved walking and biking trails that connect directly to the Illinois Prairie Path, allowing residents to travel several miles without entering automobile traffic. The park contains two playgrounds, six lighted tennis courts, four baseball diamonds, and a fishing pond stocked annually by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
