Ginger Woods Park occupies 38 acres in northwest Aurora and serves residents of the adjacent Ginger Woods neighborhood. The park features a 1.2-mile paved loop trail that circles the property and connects to the adjacent Virgil L. Gilman Trail, allowing direct access to the 11-mile Fox River Trail system. Two full-size soccer fields, four lighted tennis courts, and a playground with rubberized surfacing are positioned along the east side of the park. A 4-acre detention basin in the center has been landscaped with native prairie plants and supports seasonal bird activity. Picnic shelters equipped with grills and electrical outlets are available by reservation through the Fox Valley Park District. Restrooms and drinking fountains remain open from April through October. The park lies within one mile of the Orchard Road exit on I-88, the Aurora Premium Outlets, and the Rush Copley Medical Center campus, providing convenient access to regional shopping and healthcare services.
