Good Templar Park, Geneva, IL

Good Templar Park covers 53 acres on Geneva’s east side, bordered by East Side Drive and the Fox River. A 1.8-mile paved loop circles the park’s open fields and mature oak groves, connecting to the 40-mile Fox River Trail for cyclists and runners. Two lighted ball fields, six tennis courts, and a playground with rubberized surfacing serve organized leagues and families. Picnic shelters with grills and restrooms accommodate gatherings year-round, while a fishing pier extends into the river for anglers. The park’s western edge fronts the Fox River, offering river views and direct kayak access. Geneva’s downtown, with its Metra station, shops, and restaurants, lies less than a mile west, and the park’s location along East Side Drive provides quick routes to IL-38 and I-88.
