Gordon Ray Park, Mundelein, IL

Gordon Ray Park occupies 26 acres along the Des Plaines River in Mundelein, giving residents direct access to the 30-mile Des Plaines River Trail for walking, running, and bicycling. The park features two baseball diamonds, two soccer fields, a playground, and two picnic shelters with restrooms, all maintained by the Mundelein Park & Recreation District. A fishing pier extends into the river, and the park’s open fields and river views create a natural setting within a short drive of IL Route 83 and IL Route 176. The adjacent Prairie Crossing Trailhead provides additional connections to the regional trail network, allowing residents to reach Libertyville and Grayslake without driving.
