Harvest Glen Park, Plainfield, IL

Harvest Glen Park covers roughly 11 acres in Plainfield and includes two playgrounds, a large open field, and two lighted tennis courts. A 0.6-mile asphalt trail loops through the grounds and connects to the 7-mile DuPage River Trail, allowing residents to walk or bike directly to downtown Plainfield or to Caton Farm Road. Picnic shelters, grills, and a sand volleyball court are grouped near the parking lot, while a fishing pond stocked by the Forest Preserve District of Will County attracts anglers year-round. The park borders the 80-acre Normantown Prairie Nature Preserve, so views of native grasses and seasonal wildflowers extend from the trail. Restrooms and drinking fountains operate from April through October. The park lies two miles from the Interstate 55 interchange at Route 30, placing it within a 10-minute drive of the Louis Joliet Mall and the Plainfield Public Library.
