Henry J. Kalk Park, Glencoe, IL

Henry J. Kalk Park covers 16 acres at the corner of Park Avenue and Glencoe Road in central Glencoe. A paved perimeter path, measuring just under one mile, loops around athletic fields used for youth baseball, soccer, and lacrosse. The northern section contains six lighted tennis courts and two pickleball courts, while the southern end holds a playground with rubber surfacing, climbing structures, and swings. Mature trees line the western edge, creating shade for picnickers at the adjacent shelter with restrooms and drinking fountains. The park sits three blocks north of the Metra Union Pacific North Line station, providing a ten-minute walk to downtown Glencoe shops and restaurants. Adjacent on-street parking and a small lot off Park Avenue accommodate visitors arriving by car.
