Hillside Park, Cary, IL

Hillside Park sits along the Fox River in Cary and covers roughly 40 acres of open fields, wooded areas, and river frontage. A 1.3-mile paved trail runs through the park and connects to the larger Fox River Trail, giving residents a continuous route for walking, running, or cycling that extends north toward Crystal Lake and south toward Algonquin. Two baseball diamonds, a soccer field, and six tennis courts provide organized sports space, while a playground and two picnic shelters serve casual family use. The river itself offers shoreline fishing and seasonal canoe launches. Parking areas at three separate entrances keep access convenient, and the park lies within a mile of the Cary Metra station, Route 14 retail corridor, and downtown Cary’s library and shops.
